Our Story

We've all been there - the last-minute scramble, the group chat that goes silent, the gift that arrives late and feels impersonal. Givva exists because that's not good enough for the people who matter most to us.

Why We're Building This

Celebrations are meant to feel joyful. But gift-giving around these moments often feels...complicated.

Givva shifts the default. Instead of a collection of separate gifts, everyone comes together around one - something meaningful, chosen by the person it's for. Less coordination for hosts. Less obligation for guests. And for the recipient: a gift that lands, and messages of care they can sit with long after the day.

And for the celebrations that want to go further - you can pair your gift with a cause. Because some moments call for generosity that reaches beyond the room.

And for the celebrations that want to go further - you can pair your gift with a cause. Because some moments call for generosity that reaches beyond the room.

The best gifts aren"t just things. They are moments of care, connection, and community.

Gift the Feeling.

About Our Founder

The best ideas don't always arrive as lightning bolts. Sometimes they come from noticing the same small friction, over and over again.

A few years ago, I moved from Toronto to the Bay Area - a change that brought a lot with it. I stepped away from my career for a season to be at home with my family. And in that time, I started noticing something. Birthday parties. Baby showers. Teacher's gifts. Coach appreciation. Moments meant to feel joyful, a chance to express gratitude, to mark something that mattered. But behind the scenes, there was always a surprising amount of coordination, social pressure, and invisible work - especially around gifting. Hosts managing logistics on top of everything else. Guests worrying about choosing the "right" thing. And sometimes, in all of that, the gesture itself getting lost in the pressure.

I kept wondering: what if there were a better way? One that preserved the meaning behind the gesture - while easing the stress for everyone involved? That question became Givva.

If you've felt this friction too, you're exactly who we're building for.
